In 100 years, all of the factories will be in space. This is because there will be so many apartments, houses, shops etc. that there will be no room. I believe that factories will look somewhat the same as they are now, just a lot bigger and located in space.
Technology will have advanced a long way and robots will do most of the work but people will have some jobs as well. As of today, robots can lift materials, help in the making of objects and repeat with amazing precision. Imagine what robots could do in 100 years!
Robots will be able to do jobs that are dangerous for humans and make objects quicker and better quality. Also robots might be able to build and programme robots themselves.
In 100 years, they would have invented teleportation. To get the materials to and from space, they would simply press a button and the materials would arrive. It would be the same for Earth.
Because the factories are in space, the pollution created by factories would decrease drastically. The climate would slowly heal itself.
